Arsenal toiled to a goalless draw at Burnley as Mikel Arteta’s side were held for the fourth consecutive game in the Premier League.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang returned from suspension to bolster Arsenal and started alongside Alexandre Lacazette, Gabriel Martinelli and Mesut Ozil in a strong Gunners’ frontline.

But they couldn’t break down Sean Dyche’s organised Burnley team and it was the hosts who had the best chance of the game when Jay Rodriguez hit the underside of the bar with just over 10 minutes left in the second half.

The striker’s shot bounced down on the line but goalline technology showed that the ball didn’t cross it.

Burnley and Arsenal sit 10th and 11th, both on 31 points, following that result.
