Wrexham’s hopes of securing back-to-back promotions suffered a setback Tuesday when the Welsh side were beaten 1-0 at Doncaster Rovers.
The result leaves Wrexham, owned by celebrity duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob Rob McElhenney, in third position in League Two with five games of their season remaining.

Wrexham are level on points with second-placed Mansfield Town but have an inferior goal difference and played a game more. They have a two-point advantage over fourth-placed MK Dons but have a game in hand in the battle for one of the three automatic promotion places.
The next four teams will enter a playoff to join the top three in League One next season.
Wrexham, who won the National League last season, looked to be closing in on moving into England’s third tier when beating promotion rivals Mansfield 2-0 on Friday.
But an Owen Bailey goal a minute before half-time at the the Eco-Power Stadium was enough to secure a fifth straight victory for a Doncaster team that moved up to 14th place.
Paul Mullin had the ball in the net for what would have been his 100th goal for Wrexham in the 77th minute but the flag went up to rule it out for offside and condemn Phil Parkinson’s side to defeat.
Wrexham will next be in action away at 23rd-placed Colchester United on Saturday.
