United branded the incident “an internal matter” and Ten Hag has revealed that Garnacho has now apologised for his actions.

“Alejandro is a young player and has to learn a lot,” Ten Hag told a news conference on Friday. “He apologised for it and after that we move on.”

Garnacho is set to be available for Sunday’s FA Cup semifinal against Coventry at Wembley and Ten Hag is hopeful that both Antony and Scott McTominay will also be part of the squad.

Antony missed the game at Bournemouth because of injury while McTominay hasn’t played since the 4-3 defeat to Chelsea because of a knee problem.

“Antony and Scott, I expect them to be back,” Ten Hag said.

“Scott didn’t train all week — partially on Wednesday — and today [Friday] I expect him to be full. Antony did train all week.

“We have some problems. Harry [Maguire] had a small injury. He didn’t train this week so far, but now he is back on the pitch, we expect him to be back for Sunday, I hope.”

Ten Hag also revealed that he has been following Jadon Sancho‘s run to the Champions League semifinals with Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho was banished from the United squad in September after a public row with Ten Hag before rejoining Dortmund on loan in January.

“I follow international football and follow the players on loan at other clubs,” Ten Hag said.

“It was a fantastic game, Dortmund against Atlético Madrid. A great performance from Dortmund and for Jadon it’s good news, he made his contribution to the result for Dortmund.

“We know Jadon Sancho is a fantastic football player, so that is not a surprise for us. That is not the issue.”
