Inter Miami concluded the Central American portion of the 2025 preseason tour with a stunning 5-0 win over Olimpia at the Olímpico Metropolitano in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Lionel Messi opened the scoreboard with a goal in the 27th minute of the match, connecting with longtime teammate Luis Suárez to complete the left-footed strike into the back of the net. Federico Redondo and Noah Allen then widened the lead with goals in the first half to head into the break with a comfortable 3-0 score.

And the Herons wasted no time in scoring a fourth time, with a goal from Suarez just minutes into the second half. The Uruguayan found his way into the box with the help from Benjamin Cremaschi to place the ball into the center of the net.

The final goal of the night came from Ryan Sailor after receiving the ball from Leo Alfonso.

New Inter Miami head coach Javier Mascherano made several changes once the game reached the 60th minute mark, among them Messi, Suarez and Sergio Busquets in order for players to rest before the final preseason game of the year.

Jordi Alba was notably absent from the match after training separately from the team during the week, while new signing Gonzalo Luján earned his debut when being substituted into the match in the second half.

The Herons head into the match against Orlando City on February 14 with four preseason victories, defeating Club America and Universitario in penalties before triumphing 3-1 against Sporting San Miguelito and 5-0 over Olimpia.
