Jump to: Montreal Impact coach Henry shows he’s still got it on the training pitch

Alphonso Davies has made a strong play to be named soccer’s king of TikTok with his latest viral effort.

The Bayern Munich full-back, 19, demonstrated his formidable acting skills by lip-syncing his way through the whole of a police line-up scene from “Brooklyn Nine Nine.”

In an inspired one-man performance, Davies plays the characters of Andy Samberg’s New York cop Jake Peralta, a witness and every one of the suspects made to sing the Backstreet Boys hit “I Want It That Way” together.

If you haven’t seen the original, it’s worth watching just to appreciate Davies’ effort all the more.

The Canada international has broken into the Bayern first team this season with 21 appearances for the Bundesliga giants so far. Yet, somehow, he has also been able to amass a strong back-catalogue of TikTok tomfoolery, including his take on the goal celebrations of the world’s biggest stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah.

If there is a soccer player out there with stronger game on social media’s biggest new platform, we’d love to see what they’ve got.

Montreal Impact coach Henry shows he’s still got it on the training pitch

As if there were any doubt whatsoever, Thierry Henry has offered conclusive proof that he most definitely still has “it.”

The Montreal Impact coach, preparing for his first season as a head coach in Major League Soccer, was caught on camera displaying his skills at the end of a training session.

The former Arsenal, Barcelona and New York Red Bulls forward chipped a ball up before dispatching a smooth, swerving volley low into the net from a tight angle.

Another trademark ice-cold finish from the 1998 World Cup winner, and the nonchalant jog off the field with a wry “see you!” just tops it all off nicely.

If only Henry could pick himself. He’s surely got at least one good year left in him.
