Nottingham Forest have slammed the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) for ignoring their concern that the Video Assistant Referee for their 2-0 defeat at Everton on Sunday was a Luton Town supporter.
Forest had three potential claims for a penalty waved away by referee Anthony Taylor and the VAR, leading the club to respond on social media after the match to vent their frustrations.

“Three extremely poor decisions – three penalties not given – which we simply cannot accept,” the club wrote on X.
“We warned the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change him. Our patience has been tested multiple times.
“NFFC will now consider its options.”
The FA has confirmed to ESPN they are investigating the tweet.
The result leaves Forest in 17th on the Premier League just one point above Luton in the relegation zone after they were thrashed 4-1 by Brentford on Saturday.
Forest’s league position has been weakened after they were deducted four points in March for breaching the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.
The club appealed the deduction.
