Erling Haaland won the Premier League Golden Boot for the second successive season after notching up 27 goals in Manchester City‘s title winning campaign.

City sealed their fourth consecutive league title on Sunday after beating West Ham 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium and finishing two points ahead of Arsenal, who won their final game of the season against Everton.

While Haaland has been unable to replicate his goalscoring feats from the previous season that saw him net 36 times in the league, his 27 goals this season saw him comfortably beat Cole Palmer (22) in the Golden Boot race.

The Norway international has draw criticism for some of his performances this season, most notably by former Manchester United captain Roy Keane who called him a “League Two player” following City’s goalless draw against Arsenal in April.

In response to Keane’s comments, City boss Pep Guardiola hailed Haaland as the “best striker in the world.”
