Messi’s first goal came in the 8th minute, but was quickly canceled out after Clement Lenglet booted in an own-goal four minutes later.

Barcelona recaptured the lead in the 28th minute when Getafe’s Sofian Chakla also gifted an own goal, with Messi padding the lead in the 33rd minute.

Enes Unai converted a penalty in the 69th minute for Getafe to make things interesting, but Ronald Araujo’s goal and Antoine Griezmann’s stoppage-time penalty in the waning minutes of the match sealed the three points.
