AC Milan have announced the signing of Mexico forward Santiago Giménez from Feyenoord.

Giménez was linked with a move to Premier League side Nottingham Forest last summer but will now link up with Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leão at San Siro.

The 29-year-old won the Eredivisie title in 2022-23.

Giménez will wear the No. 7 shirt.

Former AC Milan Zlatan brahimovic, now club advisor, said he is pleased the club have signed Giménez.

When asked if Gimenez is as strong as former Italy and Inter forward Christian Vieri, Ibrahimovic said: “Santiago Gimenez is a strong as Ibra, of a high level,” he told Sky Italia.

“We had monitored Gimenez for many months. We tried to sign Gimenez in July but in the summer it was a different situation. We have made a great signing. We are ready for him and he’s ready. He’s very eager to start.”
