The draw for the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals was made on Friday, with holders Spain being drawn against Netherlands and Germany set to play Italy as the marquee ties.

All of the contests will be played over two legs, with the top-seeded teams from the League A groups playing at home second. Teams from the same group in League A couldn’t be drawn against each other.

Croatia, who lost in the final of the most recent edition of the tournament via penalties, are to play France in a rematch of the 2018 World Cup final, while Cristiano Ronaldo and his Portugal team face Denmark.

The draws were also made for the promotion and relegation playoffs between the leagues, which will take place in March 2025 alongside the quarterfinals, with the exception of the League C/D matches.

Turkey are to play Hungary to see who will play in the top tier for the next cycle, with Ukraine up against Belgium, Austria meeting Serbia, and Greece vs. Scotland.

The League B/C playoff pairings saw Kosovo drawn against Iceland, Bulgaria vs. Republic of Ireland , Armenia vs. Georgia and Slovakia vs. Slovenia.

For the League C/D games, bottom-tier Gibraltar will take on Latvia and Malta will compete with Luxembourg in March 2026.
